I was born and raised in Puerto Rico where I became and developed as a professional counselor specializing in mental health and wellness. Then I made the difficult decision to immigrate to the United States to serve to Latinx community; especially the Spanish speakers that, like myself, left their countries looking for a better life for themselves and their families. As a Latina therapist, I know how hard it is to grow up in a complex (sometimes traumatic) culture that we love and respect but have aspects that could hurt us as individuals. I know how difficult it is to overcome the social and cultural challenges and make decisions to heal and live the life that we deserve.
“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.” - Carl G. Jung
My therapeutic practice is based on the person-centered and trauma-informed care approaches. My greatest goal is to help others to heal tough experiences, develop into healthy individuals, and achieve their goals in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I have extensive experience supporting people to identify their needs and overcome trauma, internal conflicts, emotional distress, and work/career conflicts. Sometimes we don't know how or where to start to live the life that we want. I’m here to help you with that.
